BTW, if stereotypes weren't real, then they wouldn't be stereotypes. I am originally from Buffalo NY, so I have seen the stereotypes in full. Just like the notion that most thieves are black. It sounds horrible, but at the Best Buy I worked at, 7 out of every 10 thieves were black, 2 were Mexican, and 1 was white. I can't help it if reality is what created these stereotypes. The things you point out have more to do with social class, access to education, and development of job skills than they do race or creed. In rural parts of America, where people of color are largely absent, the anecdotal experiences you tout would flip, with poor whites representing the perpetrators of most crimes. However, I don't expect you to understand anything I'm saying because I suspect there is a significant difference in the ways in which you and I were raised. I have long suspected that what you've detailed in the last few posts is in fact who you are, but I do appreciate you confirming things for me without a shadow of doubt. Again, good luck...your mindstate and perspectives are those of a dying breed.
