[QUOTE=TheBlueMarvel;717474]Buy copies of The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe: Deluxe Edition, or, at the very least, The Marvel Encyclopedia before quoting 'official' stats. Apparently, Marvel's website can't be bothered to source its own published repositories of information...pretty much says everything you need to know about Marvel's current state.

This in a nutshell! Back in the 80s, Marvel came out with the "OFFICIAL" handbook of the Marvel universe with listed hgts & wgts, strength levels, fighting abilities, etc of all their marvel characters. Why in the hell would they do this & then allow their artist to take artistic license with their listed hgts and Make 6 foot characters like the Thing an 8ft giant now & the Hulk a 9ft giant when he was originaly 6'6 in Grey form and 7ft in Green form? Juggs was always listed at 6'10 and now also a 9 footer. Thanos is originally 6'7 now also drawn Hulk sized. It's like these artists of the last 10-15yrs or so seem to think that drawing them giant sized conveys more power because Thanos can't be a god like being at just 6'7, he has to be drawn Hulk sized. Same for Juggs, cuz at 6'10 that ain't big enough. I guess Superman should be drawn as being a 7 footer as well cuz how can such a small being at a mere 6'3 be so powerful? Thor is 6'6 but Hasbro has also giant sized him to 7 inch+ scale which is why I have bought zero figures of him from Hasbro. Same for the Wrecking crew , T-Ball at 6'6 is the tallest member, but yet, Hasbro put the entire crew on that Gawd awful Warpath buck making them 8ft giants. I bought none of them. Some of you may not care that your figures hgt scale is all over the place, but I for one do care & I hate that not only in the comics but in plastic form, that way too many characters are being done in the wrong scale.

Look at the great artists of the 70s-80s , they always did their very best to adhere to the listed hgts of the characters they drew. Perez & Byrne were 2 of the best at drawing Marvel/DC characters at their listed comic book hgts.

Darksied was always listed around 7ft in the DC character guide that also came out in the 80s, now he's like a 10ft giant.

And if Marvel is basing their hgts for Hulk on what the MCU is doing, that's even worse cuz the MCU & the comics should be kept separate universes. But since hardly no kids bother to read comics nowadays & get all their marvel "knowledge" from the movies, that's a losing battle.

All good, as long as Hasbro keeps making characters in the wrong scale, I won't buy em. The upcoming Walgreens Thing figure is gonna be a no buy as I predict he will also be done on some 7 inch scaled buck.

The Hasbro BAF Ronan wave Thing figure is the perfect scale & build for Thing, the head sculpt is the only "thing", pun intended, that I feel could have been done better.
