This, and at the same time, they experiment with 5" kid lines, and Titans, and figures on ATVs.

Obviously the MU (now ML) 4" stuff is still "for collectors" since it is no longer apparent that is "for kids" as they used to claim. So why won't they raise the price and give us nicer figures that collectors want? To protect encroachment into their 6" market is the only logical answer.

Yeah every time my kids see spiderman with an ATV or agent venom or whomever they are like "why would spiderman need a bike that makes no sense!" Especially in manhattan, that place is a nightmare to drive in.
