Going by Amazon prices, Mattel has their Justice League Action figures going for $7.99, and they're slightly larger, have semi-decent articulation, AND have the big, goofy accesories that nobody cares about.

Hasbro, on the other hand, has the Last Jedi figures at the same price with only 5 POA and NO useless accesories...How much does that Force Link chip cost? Why not put that money into giving them a bit more articulation? You know, give COLLECTORS some incentive to buy your crap so it doesn't decay on the pegs?

Food for thought.

I for one, am grateful for the 5 poa line. I want it to stay at 5 POA personally. Sounds odd to champion the cause of reducing articulation I know. Here is why.....

As I have stated before, I am a 3.75" collector. Only Marvel and we specialize in army building. I would rather have 50 of the same figure than 50 different figures, it is just how we roll. I collect with my son and we love it. When collecting Marvel 3.75" figures HASBRO is always lowering the quality and increasing the price. Bane of my existence, truly. Also they are almost exclusively available online and in limited releases now days.

The Force Awakens comes out. Skip all the pre movie sales and watch the film on his birthday, New Year's Eve day..... LOVE it immensely. Grab a figure here, another there, and another and another. Before we know it, we are mostly all in, except for aliens, extra droids and the random characters. Only Resistance and First Order for us. The fun is that EVERY one of them is bought in store and the hunt is thrilling. We don't mind the 5 poa as the sculpts are amazing and NO soft goods, of which I am not a fan. My son likes the Original Trilogy, but doesn't love it. Not enough to collect it anyway, thank God screams my wallet. Also, his young eyes have never been tainted with the filth that is the prequel trilogy.

That said, since The Force Awakens figures were 5 poa, I really want a dedicated 5 poa line to have consistency throughout the final three films. We also have a strict one version of any character on display rule. Since seeing the the new beautiful (to me anyway) 3.75" figures we decided we need a different shelf for each film. An episode seven shelf, an eight and a nine. Most likely, a Resistance shelf and a First Order shelf for each film, so six shelves in total.

I know it is against the collector code to love and openly advocate a 5 poa line.... but I absolutely love them just as they are and look forward to buying another 100+ of them over the next two films. Still army building, old habits die hard.
