i thought about your sentiment, & it made me wonder why i too, prefer their comic version over MCU. i then came up with the following explanations -

* for myself it's akin to consuming any food (especially for the very first time), i prefer the original taste while minimizing/omitting the use of condiments. it doesn't matter whether it's Italian or French pizza, coz being lost in translation it could well have originated from China. which brings us to the next point...

* the greater a collectively accepted cultural icon, the more attractive power it holds. that being said, MCU is one such icon that basically did its work to generate buzz for Marvel noobs. yet this will never override comics originality since it also cause curious noobs to delve more into MCU's origination.
