Not using cursing or profanity is a good thing, but it won't make how you present yourself any less obnoxious. (And I'm fairly certain you already know that and as long as you stay under the mod's radar you just don't care.)

Even the Guardians had a few human viewpoint characters, and their mainstream success is a very recent development.

Silver Surfer is probably the only actual alien protagonist I can think of who has had any major success in Marvel, but even with his ability to travel the entire universe there seems to be a large chunk of Silver Surfer stories that still take place on Earth anyway.
