Perhaps start with 6" Marvel Legends sculpts & quality articulation on par with the 4 Horsemen, and plastic that isn't brittle or doesn't get greasy? Perhaps a business model similar to Mythic Legends...preorders online at half $50 retail price? I don't see many Mythic Legend scalpers out there...

I'm talking about Cold War, vintage Marvel character designs...Kirby Klassix. No reimagined, barely recognizable, silver screen versions. And NOT "first appearance" characters either, as it usually took (even) Kirby a few iterations to arrive at the definitive look for many of his characters. Yes, I'm talking about a collector line...no kiddy figures sold at TRU or Walgreens next to My Little Pony stuff...kids don't care about action figures anyway. Target the adult collector demographic.

Start with ALL FOUR of Kirby's FF, and maybe the truly classic yellow & black (blue?) X-Men with Xavier in a wheelchair...with actual wheels. The original (yellow) Iron Man, and Ditko's Red & Yellow redesign? Cap as seen in Avengers #4. Subby...NOT in a leather, disco, bondage outfit?

I was raised on Kirby & Ditko. I thought DC characters were plain silly. (This was back in the "Superman swallows the ocean" days.) Yet I look at my shelves, and my DC Classics outnumber my Marvel figures 10 to 1. Why? Well, to start, almost HALF the Marvels "Classics" on my shelves had to be customized just to look halfway on model...or halfway proportional!

Just a thought. I'm sure there are a million naysayers that could provide dozens of reasons why this couldn't possibly be feasible, and might be correct at that!
