Part of the problem with Icons is that people trashed it right from the start. The hate always came down to something ridiculous like the figures weren't DCUC clones, someone bought a DC Direct figure 12 years ago and it broke, or the Icons figures weren't as tall as Marvel Legends. The DC fans who would've normally supported this line never gave it a chance, meaning the line never had enough sales to continue. DCC played their part in the fall of Icons but they aren't the only ones responsible.

The sad part is that the same thing is happening with DC Essentials.
