[Panther]

I love it when people talk about superhero film fatigue as if it's the only genre known to the public. The superhero genre is still a very small genre, however, with massive results. I'm not a big fan of the rating system on IMDB, but I challenge anyone to go to the IMDB website and look at the films being released this year. As far as superhero films we have Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Deadpool 2, Ant-Man & The Wasp, Venom, Aquaman, and X-Men: Dark Phoenix. Unless I'm missing one, that's 7 superhero films. Now look at all the rest of the films being released. I don't hear anyone saying there's drama fatigue, horror fatigue, or comedy fatigue. Personally, I just don't get it. Contrary to popular belief these movies are different, but it seems like they just keep getting singled out simply because they dominate the box office. I can't speak for Warner Bros, Sony, or 20th Century Fox, but Marvel Studios has changed the game. They are making good to great movies and are breaking the bank while doing it. Everyone in Hollywood is trying to copy their model, and no one can quite figure out how to do it right. I'm enjoying this Golden Age of Superhero films, and by Fall of 2019 I will have 22 films in my collection that signify story telling at it's absolute best.
