As a huge fan of the horror genre, I can say that I definitely suffered from fatigue of the horror genre from the last 3 years or so. There are only so many found footage/demon possession/ghost films one can take. These films though have also dominated the box office, but I have stopped watching them altogether.

When 47 Meters Down was scarier than the last few Paranormal Activity/Insidous/Conjuring movies and their offspring, it's easy to tell you're burnt out.
