Objectively speaking, this movie was a mess in terms of using narrative styles and devices, character development, maintaining coherency with its back story and so forth. Subjectively, I am sure some did genuinely like it.

So it really shouldn’t have grossed anywhere near what it did. Most of the money likely came in because older fans like myself just went to see it because it’s STAR WARS. Judging by what I have seen, most fans weren’t too happy.

It’s the first SW movie I will not even bother purchasing myself. I would rather spend that money on an Old Republic Omnibus or something.....
