Online stores are good for getting the newer stuff but if you dont get something when it first out and come back later for it you missed it because it will not be restock again.

This is probably why NECA functions like it does in that all their action figs are essentially limited editions. Once orders drop to a certain level they will stop the line.

Using an example of both TRU and NECA, i think last year some time out of nowhere TRU began selling one of the earlier Gremlin series again. Some one found some stock and they had the balls to put it out and sell it.

Like others have said, TRU has the ability to do things that other stores may not.

Zoids is coming back and i had the idea that TRU may pick up the new toys because the newer ones are even more kid friendly and they did sell Zoids back in the day. With TRU gone now the likeness of an American launch of Zoids is 100% dead.

BBTS and EE may probably sell a few but Dorkside will surely not. And like i said, they will only sell the newer releases and never restock. And that's a fact when it comes these types of toys because this is exactly what they do with Gundam kits.
Let me speak for myself personally. Damn near every collectible i currently own, they majority have been purchased by BBTS,dorkside, walmart, and sprinkle a little target in there.

I even just asked my wife, and asked her "how many times do you recall me walking out with anything from our local TRU store?" Her response " close to never".

Shit... i had to have a friend from Ohio tell me they had the klaw/shuri legends 2 pack. Do you want it? And of course i said yes.

My experience as an adult collector with TRU has been very poor. As a child as i said in previous posts was great. Obvisously TRU could not replicate that same experience people had as children. This of course was due to the fact they had shity inventory, high prices, and employees working there that makes you want to strangle them.

The magic is gone people.. all you posting on here that are in your 20s to 40s trying to justify a why they shouldnt shut down and the toy world is screwed open your eyes. Popular toys will continue to be sold at certain stores

And some oddball lines will HAVE TO be purchased online. That's just the way it will be.
