BTW I'm sorry if I'm having a bit of fun and laughs with this. I really DO feel badly for the lower level employees that are going to lose their jobs. This isn't their fault. But the way the company has been run the last decade...it's been coming. Oh yeah, most of us aren't under any illusion that Toys R Us was a particularly well-run business, but aside from the firings of 33,000 employees in an environment where it's getting harder and harder to get retail jobs, it's just the fact that it's the last physical retailer for toys in a market where its competitors seem to barely care about toys, and the fact that for some smaller companies like NECA it was their only physical retail outlet and they will now lose a major avenue of customer growth in terms of adults shopping there for their kids stumbling upon them, and the fact that 10-15% of total toy sales will likely be lost forever.

TL;DR: as poorly run as TRU might have been, it's more about the consequences of the loss of the last major brick-and-mortar toy retailer than the closure of Toys R Us specifically.
