Mimban in the old EU was essentially a giant swamp (the concept was later partially recycled for Dagobah) where the Empire maintained a number of mining operations, so mud everywhere, basically.



The Disney version appears to be keeping the mud but going for more of a “Passchendaele circa 1917” aesthetic:





I honestly rather like it (it’s probably the closest we’ll get to a WH40K Imperial Guard movie for the foreseeable future), but I’m far more interested by what appear to be Imperial Army Infantry above (the so-called “Mudtroopers”) than yet another Stormie permutation, especially when it’s just a slightly spattered version of the standard armour with a cape.
