So earlier today, my MCU Ant-Man and the Wasp came in, and as I said before, I am thoroughly impressed with both. Some thoughts...

Ant-Man: Simply put, this figure takes a giant sized crap all over the MCU Ant-Man we previously received with the Ultron wave. The paints are crisp, the figure sculpt is way more accurate to the suit design of the movie, and the colors really pop. The head sculpts though are amazing. The unmasked head bears a STRONG resemblance to Paul Rudd, and while a lot of people weren't thrilled with the smirk on his face, I'm glad that we actually got an MCU head sculpt that shows a bit of personality for a change, as opposed to another static, blank expression.

My only gripes for him are minimal, and near nitpicks, but again, for some reason, we have another character with the ability to shrink, without a mini figure of themselves. In fact, outside of his alternate head(s), there's no accessories for him what-so-ever. At least the previous movie Ant-Man came with a tiny Ant-Man and Yellowjacket. Mine also had a tiny bit of paint chipping at the back where the top of the ab crunch meets the joint, but it's hardly noticeable and nothing that can't be touched up with a little bit of paint.

Wasp: Oh boy...this is the Wasp figure I never knew I needed. This one really shows what Hasbro is capable of when they want to be, and it's probably my favorite female MCU figure so far, and top 5 in terms of MCU Legends figures thus far. The paint color choices pop, the detail in the textures is unreal, the costume itself looks cool, and the helmet is awesome, allowing you to see a pair of eyes peeking through it's visor. The unmasked portrait is brilliant as well, as it perfectly captures Evangeline Lilly's likeness. I really like the backpack accessories, with one folded and the other unfolded, and she even comes with an additional set of hands for flight poses.

My only gripes...again...no tiny Wasp figure to come with it! I also would have preferred for her hair to be down instead of in a ponytail, but it's a movie accurate look for her anyways, so it's not too much of a bother. Mine also had a tiny bit of paint chipped off around the breast area, but I was able to fix it with a little bit of gold paint drybrushed over the area. Good as new...

And now for some fun stuff!

"Ohh la laa....that's a nice set of stingers you have the...."
