Because when you buy figures released by Bluefin you:

1. Are supporting US stores.
2. If the figure breaks or has a defective part, Bluefin will get you a replacement piece or do an exchange. Japanese stores are little bitches when it comes to doing this as they don't seem to comprehend how customer service is supposed to work.
3. You don't have to pay the shipping costs for getting it from Japan. Like I just had to pay $25 for shipipng for a single Figuarts coming from Japan. That is on top of the $90 price tag.
