The torso on mine is pretty good and firm but then it's very common with DST for the firmness of joints to vary from figure to figure. I checked out some reviews of this figure before purchasing and one had notably loose hips while another then only had a loose elbow, just random luck or lack thereof. My interest to see what DST will do with the license now is the potential kaiju. Hakuja was the only new kaiju I really liked and they're already doing that so what I would really like for them to do is some of the kaiju from the first movie that NECA never got around to. Hell, Onibaba is technically in Uprising via a simulation so they have double the excuse for making that one. Karloff though, that's my pipe-dream kaiju.
