Comics have always played it fast and loose with continuity due to so much time passing and so many different writers contributing. There are retcons galore, and this is why I don't read them anymore.

I miss the one-shots as well, they were mostly great. It was really sad that they got rid of them, they could really be used to answer some questions, and also to just be entertaining and flesh out the MCU in a canon way. Let's be real, Agents of SHIELD and the Netflix shows don't really take place in the same universe as the movies...they take place in a universe where phase one happened and no one was ever heard from again. Or something like that. For Christ's sake, Avengers tower isn't even visible in skyline shots of the Netflix shows, it's a joke.
