Since museum poses have been around for awhile, I think most collectors have started to crave something different now. Then you have XM Studios pumping out incredible looking pieces with more dynamic poses.

So it feels like SS is actually trying to catch-up to try and cater to the market.

But you are definitely right about the weight distribution issue. My guess is that they probably have an metal rod inside of it, drilled and placed right up to the lower torso. So there is a chance of cracks developing later on. That being said, XM pieces like the Phoenix one has a similar design and I haven't seen people complain. So if they do it right, it could be ok.
