It currently has the broadest products for crossover displays/play elements. Why 1:18th needs to get rolling again to do the same like it was. That's one of the reasons 1:18th fell out of favor. It didn't have as much broad support as it once did.

Renegades Ripcord was the best Ripcord. I really liked what they did with his character there and how that grew.

Various toons are what most people/average audiences/general audiences remember though. Wider audience appeal catering to the toons and some mixed elements of comic as well as introducing new material without heavy lore baggage. Unless that lore baggage can be streamlined like the new Doc.

Agreed. Snake Eyes is an icon of GI Joe to wider audiences because of recognize ability and his BAMF moments. Renegades too. Various toons he really left a large impression on kids, as well as the comics. TBH, he, Jinx, and Kamakura were the few highlights of Sigma 6 animated too.

The problem with ninjas is that the classic ninja style has been done to death across wide media. If only there were things in the lore to update that and make it cool again...
Same as how Naruto makes it work too with Ninjas. It's not the same old school outfit. Variety is the key to that.

GI Joe, and Marvel too really, suffer from that a lot. The usage of the classic overplayed ninja outfit visage is what's making their ninjas boring. If they looked into it more to broaden that out more, they could get better retention. This is what makes Naruto work, as well as Ninja Gaiden/DOA, and other franchises that use ninjas. This is what makes even Electra's new outfit stand out too, as well as Psylocke's various outfits, Ronin too. Ninja or not isn't the bad aspect. It's how fun or interesting the design is.
