My Studios Iron Man 3 pack arrived today much to my surprise, a whole two days before it was originally scheduled, and I lucked out today at Walgreens as well, finding the Thing. Haven't really had time to mess around with either of them today, but I did pick up a couple of other loose, 10 year MCU figs recently, so I'll cover those for today...

Bucky (Infinity War Version): First things first, I managed to snag Bucky loose here off of eBay for around 22 dollars shipped, and while I wasn't initially impressed with this figure upon seeing it in store, I will admit that it's a much better figure once you get it in hand. It might in fact be my favorite MCU Bucky we've received yet.

The sculpt appears to be an all new one, a modernized version of his gear from CA: First Avenger, while the cyborg arm is the same one we've seen with previous Bucky releases, only with a golden wash over it. It's a good look for the character, and one that finally scales a lot better too, as it's lacking the ridiculously large feet of the previous figures. The head sculpt itself is a straight re-use of the one from the Civil War Walmart Exclusive, which was a good one, but unfortunately is not accurate to this version of the character, who was sporting a lot more facial hair, and longer, straitened hair. Despite those flaws, it's nicely printed, rendering the Civil War version completely obsolete, and the best part is that it fits on previous MCU Bucky figures with no modding required and a nearly perfect skin tone match. The masked CA:WS headsculpt works on this new Bucky as well, allowing for some more variety of looks...

There's a bit of degradation going on with this cyborg arm mold however, as the hand and fingers on mine were smushed together and were rather messy. The figure was unable to hold anything in his left initially out of the packaging, and required a bit of heat and prodding to get it to resemble something that looked like a hand. He comes with the same alien looking sniper rifle we received with the Winter Soldier version, only with a much nicer paint scheme, but truthfully, it would have been nicer to have received his actual weapon from the film.

All in all, a really good update to MCU Bucky (one that I didn't know I would need...) and one worth picking up if you can find it loose, since honestly, the updated Falcon is really not all that great of an upgrade when compared to the original.

MCU Thanos (Infinity War): I was also able to pick up the MCU Thanos for about 30 bucks shipped off of eBay, and I'm going to keep this pretty simple...this is the version of the figure that we should have received as the BAF from the first Infinity War wave. Everything about this version of the figure is superior to the original BAF. The paints are crisp and really pop thanks to some better color choices, and the new head sculpts are really well done. The fisted hand from the original BAF also works with this Thanos, and while it's slightly different in color tone, it's not really all that noticeable, allowing you for another option to pose this bad boy. Honestly, if we had received this version of the figure instead of the awful one that was a BAF, I think you would have heard a lot less complaints about it overall.

Definitely worth picking up if you can find it loose at a good price, or are willing to drop extra on the three pack.
