If this is the first time anyone's made a Beneath the Planet of the Apes mutant I'm surprised...given the more obscure things that have had collector-aimed action figures over the last 20+ years.

*Yes, there was a Planet of the Apes toon, but these figures aren't from that.
It is being discussed on the facebook reaction group and yes, this is the first mutant figure.
