Since they deal with a lot of video game properties, it more than likely has to do with the gaming companies themselves. Many are protective of their franchises and how they are represented.

Capcom for example is notorious for being difficult to work with as they don't want their franchises portrayed the wrong way (such as their infamous cancellation of the Bloody Sagat vs Ryu two pack during mid shipment back when Sota Toys held the license.)
