From a monopolistic point of view, it would be a nightmare, but personally I would prefer Hasbro would pick up the license an start producing DC Legends figures. As a long time collector, I'm very satisfied with their ML figs and the prices are acceptable for the most part.

I'm very, very skeptical about McFarlane picking up the license. Sure, they were top notch... like 20 years ago. None of their recent figures have managed to impress me and the play value is horrible. I want action figures, not semi-statues in weird positions. I actually would have preferred if Mattel would simply have kept the license. All they needed to do was standardize their figures to the common 6-inch and I would have been happy.

When it comes to international distribution, all these companies are a disaster. Living in Belgium, Europe, you find almost nothing of this at retail. You have to go through specialized stores or use the internet, but both lead to inflated import prices. Were are the days when big players such as Hasbro and Mattel simply managed to get their stuff at retail stores over here? No wonder their sales are going down, as they seem to fall back more and more on the US only.
