The quality has soared and product output has multiplied exponentially in that time, so it's hard to imagine it collapsing right now. Difficult as it is for me to wrap my head around, they'll run out of people to make eventually. I just want a goddamn four foot Galactus before it ends.
And Goldballs. Goldballs will herald the end, what a glorious end it shall be.
Hot takes aside, Hasbro has done a really great job. Better than Toy Biz in many respects. Toy Biz shines in the large bulky fig/BAF category, but that's pretty much their sole edge (maybe sculpt detail, as well). Hasbro has better uniformity, a wider selection, and cleaner and more appealing musculature designs.

My bone with Hasbro is their decision to earmark the MCU for heightened detailing, while neglecting most canon figs. It's for this reason that I was particularly impressed with Herc. I really hope this is a trend that continues, but I just can't shake the feeling of deja vu. When Nova Prime came out I was similarly ecstatic. I marveled (ha!) at the detail and thought to myself that someone at Hasbro must be a hardcore Marvel cosmic fan like me (or at least a Rich Rider fan) given how accurate the mold was. I thought all canon figs were going to get similar treatment moving forward, but in retrospect, given how things developed, I think that Nova was more or less the beneficiary of being one of two (does Guardians Iron Man really count? Nah! ) canon figs in an MCU-centric wave.

More unique sculpts for canon guys and gals will be a boon for all characters (imo). Especially the ladies - they're getting a little lazy with the 'all women have the same lithe bodies' routine. Heh, at the risk of damaging what little is left here of the general perception of me, I'm a fan of voluptuous and curvy forms in both real life and toy interests. I get the message conveyed when all heroines are portrayed as Playboy Playmates (man, that reads as bad as it sounds, oh well - 'real talk' here on out), but I think having some characters fit that bill reflects reality. I'd also like a Squirrel-Girl body type (although, that wasn't her original look) and a Big Bertha from the Great Lakes Avengers would also reflect that same realism. Now I don't really care about either of those characters (in fact, I find SG and the fandom that surrounds this 'editor's month' character slightly off-putting), it's the development of new molds that encourages me. Introducing new molds and spreading around the detail would go a long way toward buttering Hasbro's bread and set them up for another twelve years of success with the license.

Unique molds function like timed exclusives. They're an atractive departure from the norm that will eventually get chopped and re-served as line enhancing mad-libs. More molds make rehash harder to spot and me a happier camper.

LULZ I also enjoy mocking the willfully ignorant, another commonality we share (Marvel's cosmic tapestry being the other). That pic is visually appealing, you've a nice back yard or wherever that is that you photo your outdoor pics. It makes me think of the other aspect of our previous dialogue...I'm an 'herbalist', synthetics scare me!
