I smoke and my figures have this smell on them. I'm constantly cleaning any that I want to get rid of. The only sure fire way to get rid of it, is to clean them. If you put them in a bag and seal the bag, the smell has no where to go except the dryer sheet and then your just getting rid of the smell not the issue, the residue.

The longer they stay way from the source (the smoker) they will eventually stop smelling but as long as the residue is there, it will always be tainted.

However getting rid of the residue won't always get rid of the smell, but once it's gone, the smell will eventually go away.

I keep a shelf in my living room of some favorite characters. It occurred to me the other day that without the 90's X-Men cartoon, I wouldn't be a comic fan. So I'm slowly changing this shelf to be that team's line up. Once the new Beast, Jubilee and Gambit come in, I'll swap out Sabertooth, Apocalypse and Archangel. Maybe one day, we'll get an era correct Jim Lee Storm too. But in the mean time, this is that shelf.
