So I read through volumes 5-7 of the newer Spider-Man 2099 series. They weren't bad as I did enjoy a lot of what they had to offer. The Civil War story (not sure how it was related to Civil War, but okay) was interesting, especially the Sinister Six bit. I loved it when Miguel kicked the shit out of 2099 Doc Ock and told him to act rather than talk so then a bit later he snaps some woman's neck (who is somehow a priest) and asks him how he did in regards to acting and not talking. Oh, and the Ghost Rider bit was quite funy as was the Guerilla/Gorilla Warfare conversation. On the other hand, the Jameson and Skrull stuff was pretty dumb though.

The next volume got a little weird with random zombies happening and Elektra showing up to help them battle Madea. For being a Greek witch, she sure as hell got defeated way too easily. Like I didn't even realize she was dead initially.

The last volume felt quite rushed though as they crammed way too much into 4 issues. My favorite scene is a toss up between when Lyla dupes Electro into thinking she joined up with him (despite this being an obvious ploy). The conversation between Miguel, Tempest, and his son was kind of intersting and funny at the same time. I don't get why Tiberius was trying to kill his son, though, this could have been something carried over from the old 90s run I never read from (as I only read the stuff with Tiger Wylde being the villain).

I also wouldn't mind seeing Roberta get her own spin-off series as I couldn't help but laugh every time she had a change and either her clothes got torn or some random bystander witnessed it.
