Kamala had some pretty good writing when she first came out. I haven't read anything with her in it lately (catching up on like 3-4 years of manga) to check how she's doing now.

The first female Muslim hero thing was totally wrong (off the top of my head I think of Dust, Monica Chang, and the one Captain Britain who's name I can't remember, Faiza?) I would say she's the first really truly marketable Muslim hero for Marvel though. Dust had a traditional character design that would alienate some (and honestly, her powerset is pretty stereotypical), people don't even realize there is a Chinese Muslim population, and Captain Britain doesn't exactly draw stateside.

I would love figures of all of them though. Granted, Monica could be made just by popping a an unmasked Silk head on an Mockingbird or Black Widow body.

I'm actually kinda hoping SDCC to come up with some figures that truly surprise.
