TBM, I’m glad you said something about QS from the three pack, he looks more like a dude dressed like quick silver to me, he should be on the jack o lantern buck or something more slender, the 2099 buck is just too beefy for a runner.
I agree that the Sunfire mold, which is becoming a bit too ubiquitous for my tastes, seems like an odd choice for a speedster. However, I'm ok with it for Quicksilver given that my introduction to him was reading old back issues of The Avengers from the period shortly after he, Scarlet Witch and, later, Vision joined the group. John Buscema drew Pietro as fairly buffed; smaller than the likes of Cap, but neither frail nor slight of build by any definition. Add to that the fact that Quicksilver has always, in my opinion, been one of the more aggressive speedsters despite being on the slower side of the spectrum. What he lacked in velocity, he more than made up for in ferociousness and fighting skills, not to mention the fact that he has a modicum of super strength (in his legs) and durability. He punched and bludgeoned people a lot more than I saw heroes like Barry and Wally doing. Pietro also had a penchant for using pipes and sticks in conjunction with his speed - very violent and befitting his irascible nature (also pretty funny, in my mind) and in keeping with his history as a villain. I'd only caveat my previous statements with "at that time" because it seemed as though other speedsters started fighting in a similar fashion almost in emulation of what Marvel was doing with the character.

I imagine Pietro's build as more akin to that of a running back than a track star, unless you count my boy Ben Johnson of PED fame. No offense to Canada, I like both Ben and his country. But back to the running back reference - growing up, it seemed as though one of Quicksilver's favorite moves was to hurl himself bodily into opponents, ricocheting between assailants and often contorting his body into a wrecking-ball-like shape.

Personally, I find the slower (slower than the absurdity that is the "Speed Force" ) bruising speedsters to be more interesting. Take Daredevil's lumbering behemoth of an enemy, Bullet. I've mentioned wanting a fig of Buck on this thread more than a few times. Bullet is quite intimidating given his combo of speed (mundane in comparison to someone OP'ed like the Flash) and inhuman strength - good ol' Buck Cashman presented an almost insurmountable threat to DD. Hopefully Hasbro will get around to him at some point.

As usual, I've let my tangents run roughshod, but I'm sure there's something in there related to what you wrote!
