Even if you gotta pay more for stuff I will miss Gamestop when they are gone... just don't know how they will survive when hardly anyone is buying used games from them anymore.

They might survive. They got these stores called Think Geek. Only 40 in the United States and they are a collectors dream. Just went in one yesterday. Maybe that could be the reason there getting figures early because of the Think Geek store. They sell only figures and collectibles only. Would be a good transition for them.
