I do have questions - I have no idea what to do with the two little small extra fins. Where do you put them? What are they for? There is no explanation.
Did you take off the arms just like that without heating? The hands are pretty lose and can be taken off easily but I don't dare to force the arms too much so I guess I'll use the hot water method. Same for the head, to get the chains on. It seems pretty stuck.
That base is awesome! My front lock (with the head chain) seems to be loose and can be wriggled but the other two locks seem to be molded. Is that the same for you?
So the two triangular fins plug into the bottom of either bicep into a thin slot. You should be able to find a smooth plank-like section on either fin. On one of them it has a notch in the middle which matches with one of his biceps (you might need to use a light to check which bicep slot has the corresponding shape) and then the one without the notch goes into the other arm. You can see how they sit under his arms in my picture of the figure chained to the base.
For taking off his forearms the first thing I advise is to make sure that you're getting a hold of it up at the area right below the elbow because of how it's articulated at that spot. Right beneath the swivel-hinge peg that you want to pull out there's an angled swivel cut and you want to be holding onto that angled swivel or else you might pull that part off instead. The peg that you're pulling out is also a decent length so I lightly turned it while pulling, almost like unscrewing a light-bulb.
To get the collar piece on his neck you don't actually have to take his head off, it opens up at the front where the chain connects to it (you can see the hinge-pin on the other side). When opening it though the chain will probably slip off of the peg but you can just pick it up and slide it back on before closing the collar again. For his wrist shackles first you want to check that you're using the right forearm pieces, make sure you've got the ones without the fins on the wrist area and then pop off his hands and slide the shackles over his wrists then put his hands back on. I did notice that the padlocks on mine for the arm chains were a bit stuck in place but I think it might just be the tightness of the fit for those locks compared to the space afforded the neck one.
