Either way, I find the Evo version more memorable, and not just because of her appearance, but also her personality, relationships, and neat little quirks (like her becoming physically ailed when on a ship, having been away from land for too long). In the comics, Magma's always felt kinda... just there, when compared to the other New Mutants. Nothing really stood out about her, to me. Most of what comes to mind when thinking about her is more in relation to other characters and what they did to her (Selene, Empath) than anything directly about her.

Having said all that. The Magma custom there is fan-friggin'-tastic.

X-Men Evolution was a really well done cartoon. A lot of people fixate on the 1992 cartoon. That was a great cartoon, too, but IMHO relied too much on viewers knowing the characters already. With Evolution, it really did a good job of creating the world "from scratch"... That, and my favorite X-Man as a kid was Nightcrawler, who really was main character for the first time in Evolution, so there might be slight bias there.
