Luke's portrayal in TLJ was far more interesting than if they decided to go the tried and true route with him. I like the notion that in 35 years time people can change and stray from who they once were for better or worse. To me, it was one of the better things about the movie....but then again, I also find Luke to be one of the least intriguing characters in the OT, so there that too

I work with some hardcore star wars nerds, and it’s either talk the latest trailers or whatever the latest “atrocities by liberals” or the “tangerine tornado”. Of the options, Star Wars is the least obnoxious.
