Maybe, I'm not a fan of how they've been forcing iconic comic stories to fit in with their less-than-good connected animated movieverse so I don't remember much of what has already happened. I never really thought the comic was convoluted. It was an intricate plot to be sure but, once the central antagonist reveals his plan and THEN said plan is really part of a bigger agenda to get revenge on Bats it made sense to me. Even reading when released the story seemed to be an instant classic. Any revision to the story is needless. Change one major ingredient and the entire dish falls apart.

I also get sick of Bane being portrayed as dim witteed roided out door kicker. He figured out that Batman was Bruce for God's sake. He was originally supposed to be one of DC's greatest criminal masterminds.
