There were so many good figures I could have easily done a top 20. So it's not that the figures not on here weren't good, I just had to juggle finally getting some key figures and getting some great figures redone or new costumes. And yes, this is very X-centric since that is where most of the really good stuff came into play for me.

10. Mister Sinister - really didn't think we were getting him this year, but we did and while the update wasn't as much needed as others, he still kicks ass.
9. Blink - my main question was how they would pull off the skin tone, and it really really works.
8. Ebon Maw - really amazing sculptwork on this and the below.
7. Corvus Glaive - ditto as above.
6. Moonstar - It's not that the figure itself is amazing, but she's been in my top 10 and then top 5 for so long, I had to include her somewhere.
5. Professor X - Nothing much to say, we all know he was perfect for the riders seris.
4. Nightcrawler - Another figure that, until NYTF, I thought we wouldn't see until 2020. He's so well done.
3. Mystique - When she was released originally I thought she would end up being figure of the year for me, so it's pretty close. Really solid well done sculpt.
2. Jim Lee Storm - I REALLY wanted to put this at #1. She's so well done but there's little things that end up putting her at runner up, like the cape being soft fabric and the difficulties in getting her to stand up. Plus....
1. Beast. There's no way I couldn't put this guy at #1. He was not a crucial redo from Toybiz to Hasbro, but my goodness, they absolutely killed it. Granted a calm head sculpt would have been nice, but that doesn't take away from the magnificence of this figure.

BAF: Hasbro really didn't come off all that great with the BAF this year, IMO. I didn't complete half of them, and some of the ones I did complete were just okay (Caliban) to "meh, I'll keep it" (Wendigo). That said, there was really ever one contender for BAF of the year and like others, it's Kingpin. Of course.

Worst figure of the year: even though it was a great year, there were still some boring figures, but really, only one "bad" figure to me and that's Cannonball. Which, he would have probably made top 10 if they'd just included legs. Such a bad, bad, cheap move on Hasbro's part.

Set of the year: Alpha Flight. While none of those figures make my top 10, the sheer mix of ballsiness and fan service of this set absolutely make it a winner.

I have said it before, I don't know how Hasbro will top 2019. But I said the same last year, but I REALLY think they hit all the key point and more this year. Now it's just a matter of filling in missing characters, outfits, or redos more geared to a personal wants and niche figures, rather than Hasbro having a huge list of musts dos, because with few obvious exceptions I think they hit most of it this year.

Of course, they're welcome to prove me wrong.
My Dr Doom arrived on Monday. Great figure.
