That said, I'm transplanting my post from that thread here, with a few minor alterations, since it's obvious still relevant.

None of these figures look very good if you look at them closely.

Weird, kinda ugly articulation that changes from figure to figure (there's no standard). Hideous mid-torso joints abound. The proportions are way off on most of the figures. Face sculpts mostly look bad. Sloppy paint (not uniformly, but consistently).

I mean, look at Arrowverse Green Arrow. Look at how LOOOONG his torso is compared to his legs. Dude looks like a dwarf. It's fucking hilarious.

In regards to the terrible proportions, some people are saying that the point of the line is that McFarlane is "Look at the pictures to the side. They are adapting the comic and animated designs which is why proportions are off." Nope, not a valid point. If you look at some of the pictures and compare them to the figures in question, the designs are totally different (Harley Quinn is a perfect example...the figure and pic look NOTHING alike).

Plus, the line overall has no cohesive and constant aesthetics...they all look like they were just randomly designed. None of them now work together in a display, unlike Marvel Legends.

Everything is generic looking, except maybe the armored Batman & Superman figures, which look cool, but it's strange to use them to kick off your new DC line. Makes more sense to start with the basics.

And again, the articulation is ugly, for the most part, and if most of McFarlane's output is to be used as an example, most of it won't work correctly.

Glad I'm not a DC guy. I'll stick with Hasbro & Marvel Legends, thanks.
All good points! I get putting a Superman and Batman in the first wave to entice new collectors, but four Batman and three Supermen??? It should've been 1 of each, then the Harley with a better, non Funko POP-looking head, Nightwing, Batgirl, and maybe an obscure character or two that Mattel/ DC Direct never got around to making or did poorly to get seasoned collectors to buy into the line. As it is, this is a really sad showing.

(Side note, what the hell is a Bat-Raptor? It looks like those 3-wheeler motorcycles people cruise around downtown Seminole in, is it from any comic?)
