Bout Firestar, I won't get into arguments (people will not convince anyone else of anything in a forum), and I'm not a Firestar super fan (I don't find her terribly original, I prefer Firebird),
But I hope they do two. One for New Warrior/ Spidey cartoon and one for The Avengers. She was kick-ass in those Perez issues against Ultron. One of the best ever runs in Avengers, bemuse of the art team and the consistency.
I see my gal Jocasta (I just love robots) got 13 votes. I'm aware she's D-list, and love her for it. And damn it I want her this year (three pack with Ultron and Alkhema, anyone? -Yeah, right), since she was important in the 2020 Machine Man LS.
I'm pretty sure we're getting 2020 Iron Man. But wonder if Machine mAn will get a repaint.
But I'm not holding hope for those futuristic scavengers he hang with ( sorry, I can't remember their names), nor Sunset Bain. But Jocasta (like Firestar) has been on hundreds of issues, and on cartoons (thou not much) and video games, so she must be on their radar.

Haha, Leiko was my favorite hero paramour. She wasn't a weak damsel in distress trope and I loved her for it. She could hold her own and often assisted Shang in tough scenarios. I remember the intesity of the Razorfist(s) fights. Gulacy would always capture the sweatiness of long pitched martial melees, at times, I even felt like I was sweating in sheer anticipation of the final result. Good times.

Yup, put me down for Alkhema, but I don't see us getting a Yellow Claw (nor Fu Manchu) due the blatant bigotry on display in character design and ethos. I'm a staunch proponent of back stories and characters being brought forward in modern media warts and all, but there are bridges too far. Characters like those and Black Mariah (one of the few live action reimaginings I was totally on board with) should remain relegated to a less sophisticated/culturally conscious era.

I always dig going down memory lane with you, we obviously started reading at a similar time and mostly the same books - Defenders, Rampaging Hulk (you are the only other person I've seen mention Bereet), Master of Kung Fu, Cap Britain and Jasper's Warp and the Fury, etc. Good stuff!

Let's hope we get Hellstrom at the very least...maybe the Presence and Starlight too so that people can troll our dreams coming true!

I've loved all of Perez' runs on the Avengers and pretty much every team book he's graced. He's one of my very favorite artists and his redraft of Firestar was IMO her best look.

Lol yeah, man, I get you, but you went hard on something that seemed pretty standard - unless I missed something scrubbed by mods. Now the "nerd" junk...lol...well, name calling is never cool, but it was directed in a general sense and not in any specific manner.

I think I may have been one of, if not, THE first to notice the handle change and thought to address it publicly, ultimately deciding against the action because...whay?

Now, I'm not going to pretend that I haven't had dust ups here. Nor am I going to pretend that there aren't more than a few heads that I've no love for whatsoever. However, I try my best to walk in peace, now, and while I'm not going to curb the way I express my opinion (you'll get over it - those that know, know...or they will know lol), I'm also not going to engage in ostracizing people because they're a little off by my standards.

Not trying to be sanctimonious, nor am I singling you out, because many people do this here....just sayin'.
