Okay, headcanon time for the Lost Predator since he will probably never be seen in action so let’s make cool shit up ourselves.

- He doesn’t take off his bio mask, it opens and closes all nice and tech-y like. Not flip-open Iron Man, not nanomachines Iron Man either, more like – Samurai guy from the upcoming Guilty Gear.

- His vision inside the mask is different from the regular Predator. The first Battle Armor Lost Predator mask had a compound eye design, so I imagine he sees in honeycomb vision and can zoom into each comb individually. Or more than one simultaneously.

- This factors into his Plasmacaster: It doesn’t fire explosive bolts like most others, instead it rapid-fires very thin beams. Not like a machine gun, more like – he targets multiple spots for taking out more than one prey or he can target multiple weak points on a bigger enemy. Think stuff like auto-lock weapons from ego-shooter games. The Plasmacaster then fires multiple beams in short succession after targeting is finished. These beams don’t explode on impact, they simply pierce the target. Lethal enough for organic matter, but vital for hunting Lost’s main prey: Mechanical life forms. Robots potentially protect themselves against energy-based attacks so multiple blasts are necessary to weaken their own energy-based shields or to pierce through critical weaknesses. Now imagine the classic anime trope were a small beam goes through a robot, the robot stands there seemingly unharmed for a few seconds and then blows up anyways. That’s what happens.

- The sword isn’t energy-based, but instead heats up and glows red when fully charged. I imagine he grips the handle on his sword with each finger in succession (much like how classic Predators slowly place each finger after one another on their masks before lifting them) and once he fully grips it, it starts glowing. The eyes on the mask start glowing simultaneously.

- Also, imagine him slicing through a mech like the Power Loader from top to bottom right through the middle, with a pilot inside of course.

- The vents on his chest armor. They have to be for something. So, I think Lost integrated lots of technology he took from his robotic victims inside his own suit. So he too has an energy shield (think Master Chief, covers the whole body) but it isn’t quite perfected yet and can only withstand either a few single blasts or a big one before overloading. The armor then has to forcefully eject excess heat so the vents each spit out a burst of steam. Because machinery overloading and pumping out steam is awesome.

- His shuriken is remote controlled like a drone; it never stops flying until he calls it back. Also, EMP-qualities for the really big enemies, were surviving is more important than frying your own gear.

...

Yes I had way too much time, yes I was bored. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
