These are updates just like masters of the universe classics was updates on the 80s toys not the cartoon.

I have nothing to calm down about, for the life of me I don’t know what’s is so hard to understand about the nature of this line. 80s figures made with todays tech. If she looked like the toon, she would not belong in this line. If she looked the comic, she would not belong in this line. If she looked any other way than what she does, she would not belong in this line.

I think the major issue is I’m dealing with people that did not grow up in the eighties.

I see what you mean. However, unless it is the figure of an original character, wouldn’t you say that the value of the figure would be largely based on how accurate it is to the character, rather than a particular attempt at a past figure of the character? Otherwise, isn’t it like trying to approximate an approximation?

Now I can understand the possible value if someone wanted to complete their 80s Turtle collection. But still, I do think it would be better if those folks replaced their collection with better approximations of the characters themselves, rather than approximations of a figures from toy line.

I suspect that many find this puzzling for the above reasons.
