Nope, he was still around 5'10ish in the 80s. This is from Avengers annual #10 which came out in the early 80s. Blob is no towering 8ft giant here. His mutation had nothing to do with him all of a sudden having a growth spurt after 30yrs of being 5'10. Some artist took artistic license & drew him as a giant & that's what Hasbro went with. Same as for the Hulk/Juggernaut,Kingpin & Thanos. For decades their respective hgts were 7' 6'10 & 6'8, then they all "mutated" to the magical 8-9 ft status? None of em is a mutant, only got "mutated" by the artists that decided to gigantisize them for whatever BS reason or another.




Hasbro should do Blob at the scale depicted in these pics, not 8' scale. Blob is not an acrobat so the POA on the arms/legs can be single jointed, give him mid torso articulation instead of waist swivel. Alternate heads grasping hands & fists hands. On a figure of his stature, double jointed arms/legs would make him look gangly.
