He's not rare at all. The price of what collectors are willing to pay for the piece in their collection that they missed out on drives up the prices. That goes for any Legends as they pretty much all are not "rare". It's also made worse by people overspending because of the "I NEED IT" mentality.

I remember always wanting that Masters of the Universe Standor figure, the Stan Lee tribute character, but he was never too popular so I held off on buying one for the $30 he had been worth at the time. Then the moment Stan Lee passed it suddenly skyrocketed on the aftermarket. I guess the mania has died down and now I can get one for $70 versus the $110+ but still crazy for what was such an underrated figure. I'm glad that by chance I had a M'baku wave Black Panther in my Pile-of-Loot on BigBadToyStore. The $25 I spent sure beats the $150 on eBay and Amazon. I shipped today because now I have anxiety about there suddenly being an "inventory" issue and never getting it. Still worried it might not actually come. I bought it because I had yet to own any movie Black Panther and I felt that one had the best likeness to Chadwick Boseman. That said I never had any intention of completing M'baku so if anyone wants the arm just message me with a decent price. It's still surreal that he's gone.
People will always exploit an event. That's a subset of capitalism in driving a market in different ways and scalpers/flippers/sellers will take advantage of it. The Black Panther figures are super common and many were peg warmers for a while. I'd say to be patient and not worry about it. People are running out to buy Black Panther stuff now but the Chadwick Boseman passing will be forgotten about soon (may he RIP) and people will run after chasing whatever the next "hot" item is by group think mentality.

Pretty much. I'm not a fan of The Eternals casting choices or any of what i've seen before but things can chance upon release. No one was asking about GOTG when it was announced and it wasn't like they were a big hit in the comics. Now look how important they are to the MCU.
