I don't think you can compare those. And yes, I did pre-order a ML Sentinel, but I'll also very likely order this Leon as I'm a big RE fan. Is $230 expensive? Yes, it is. But toys, especially the so-called collectibles have gone up in price a lot in recent years (I still remember when Hot Toys figures were around $125 and that's really not that long ago). It bothers me too, but the simple fact is people keep buying them, even more than before. Why not ask $1.000 for a statue if there are enough idiots out there willing to pay that amount of money? It's not nice, but you can't blame manufacturers for doing it as in the end it's all about the money. As such, I think $230 is actually a very reasonable price for this figure. It's still lower than the average Hot Toys these days, which is not necessarily better. Heck, I wish Hot Toys would actually have continued their Resident Evil series instead of releasing yet another Iron Man, like # 647. I'm glad other manufacturers are filling the gap, a bit like more and more companies are filling the gap Hasbro left for 4-inch figures. When it comes to RE, a lot of Chinese companies have stepped up and released missing 1/6 characters from past and present games. They are usually priced a little over $100 and are actually excellent in quality. The fact that they are not officially licensed and usually go by names such as Ms. Red, Valentine, Chambers or Mad Tyrant is up for discussion. But as a fan I'm glad to see them made, as the big names don't seem interested in making them.
