I hope that Hasbro will give me a reason to retire it someday, as despite minimal play, father time is starting to wear her down a bit, and it makes me sad whenever a spot a paint chip or a ding from storage on her.

Had to dig her up, but since you asked...here's Mary as I finally left her.

I swapped out her original arms with those from a Walgreens Emma Frost (which give her jacket a more cropped look, and also have better articulation than Mary's original arms.) Hands are a mix from that Emma and a vintage Widow, and I ditched the oversized katana that came with her for the smaller katana that came with Blade. I had put the heels from Walgreens Emma on her for a while, but they made her hell to stand and pose. They also made her feel a bit too tall for my liking, so I went back to the boots from Punk Storm.

I completely agree with your stance on accessory packs being much needed for Legends. All of the kitbashing that went into making my ideal Mary is proof of that. I've spent so much money on accessories, fodder figures and parts over the years, that I'm sure I would be able to skip a car payment for at least a month or two at this point.

Hasbro should look into the business models that Mattel and McFarlane used to have with their Masters and Halo lines, or the current success of Jazwares Fortnite line if they need some inspiration to give it a shot. Some of those accessory packs (especially the Halo: Reach sets) go for ridiculous amounts of cash on the secondary market, and were impossible to find when they were released due to their popularity with collectors who wanted to outfit their Spartans however they choose. The Masters ones were ingenious, as they often featured headsculpts OR weapons that allowed you to complete looks of certain characters across different incarnations of the show like MotU 200X.

Hasbro has tried to (and failed) to sell us many newer lines of the modular styled action figure, but I don't think that even they realize at times that they are already sitting on a line of (largely) modular figures just ripe for the customizing pitch they want to sell us. They already know there is a mad fever for Legends figures, all they need to do is capitalize. Can you imagine if Hasbro started doing Marvel Legend accessory blind bags? We'd be cursing and spitting at them the entire time, but we'd also be standing in the toy aisle at Target crunching tiny bags for hours wondering if we're getting some fisted or wall crawling hands this time like the plastic crack addicts we are.
In a my perfect Marvel Legends world, nearly every head, arms and legs all be detachable and fit on several bodies. Maybe nearly every head could fit on nearly every body since most people's heads are roughly the same size - of course there would be mismatching colors, but at least the pegs would fit. Of course, I also realize that the very design of some of the heads and bodies would not fit, say for example a long haired head on Mach I's body or something, but that is why I say "mostly"

Arms and legs would be more difficult, having skinnier arms on super muscular bodies would look really weird, but they could at least have ranges for the body and arms like very thin, thin, standard, muscular, very muscular or something like that. I know we have that for the molds already, we just need the arms and legs to all be removable by default, like a BAF.
