Only half joking, I'd argue that the MU/Joes/TF have a good quality control...but obviously as not well CRAFTED as ML/DCUC or even Hot Toys. Then you have other toys like DCIH which has very few good "quality" aspects

But to answer your question....I'd definitely go for having 20 MUs or Joes over one Hot Toys...
I can picture the conversion chart permanently etched on the back of high schoolers' notebooks.

The Hot Toys look awesome, but they don't really seem like toys to me. At that price, I'd be too nervous that I'm going to break it or ruin it somehow, and I don't like my toys making me feel like I'm handling mom's fancy fine china.

Give me 20 Mu or G.I. Joe figures any day of the week.
