Thanks all and any unspoken thoughts too. It's really appreciated - he's been with me almost as long as I've been collecting Legends. I got him in March of 2006 and started Legends in the fall of 2005 with the TB Sentinel wave aside from one Thor I picked up back in 2003/2004. Having him for so long, even the last few months which were rougher than just his normal care, and having such amazing legends releases have been two bright spots in my 2020. I sometimes thought "maybe I should stop collecting six months after he passes" because my mind works that way sometimes. It likes symmetry, but I know I won't stop. I could say I owe it to him to keep collecting! But no, I think definitely time to slow down a bit. I do feel like sometimes in the last three years I was so tired and worn down from his care that I would get figures I really didn't need as a consolation, don't really need to do that anymore.

However that's just what I did this afternooon. ha. I took off a half day to get away from the suddenly silent house and went to get groceries which I was going to do yesterday until weere suddenly rushing him to the ER vet, and I did stop at the local Target (Rivergate), either the second or third time since the pandemic hit. They did have about a half dozen of the Storm/Thunderbird sets, some of the AoA wave and the Widow wave, which due to near complete absence in retail this year I hadn't seen the AoA wave in retail before. I did get a second Storm/Thunderbird set, with one that had slightly better hands and will keep her in her angry goddess look. None of the new Rogue/Gambit but I guess that's not out quite yet?

Anyways, I'm not sure when I'll make it out again but I doubt it will be months between like it used to be. The spot by the desk sure looks empty of blankets, and the recliner just doesn't feel the same without him snuggled right up next to me. it's time for me to get out and live some again.
