Except that all those design changes are relevant to the recent storyarc(s) that have featured Carnage - this isn't 90s Carnage, it's modern Carnage, which is why the alternate head is a standard Carnage head, and the one packaged on the body is the "pagan" symbol (not a Pagan symbol, actually the symbol for Knull, the symbiote god).

But par for the course here, right?
