Without the big stream of new films for comics stuff, it makes sense they would look to build the comic figures and take some market share away from Sideshow and whoever else is still in the game.
Star Wars is also getting a similar treatment as evidence by the Clone Wars items and some of the recent special releases/repaints.

Wait, isn't this new Midas technically not a rerelease, since it's based on the newer Diecast Mark 7?
