Happy 2021, everyone! As this is my first post of the new year, and because no one demanded it, here is my own list for my Top 10 favorite Marvel Legends figures of 2020:

10.) War Machine. It's kind of a cheat, since I don't own him (yet). But all those accessories and the sculpt of the figure are pretty darn impressive.
09.) Stan Lee. Again, it's a cheat since I don't own him. But look at him! The autographed shield of Captain America is pretty cool and the face sculpt reminds me of his Fox Kids "Spider-Man" animated series appearance.
08.) Retro Spider-Man. I would've preferred a full John Romita Sr. version of Spider-Man for this figure, with the classic spider chest emblem's legs sticking out to the sides for a change, as well as a Peter Parker alternate head, a "wavy-lines" spider-sense accessory and some open hands for wall-crawling poses. But on his own, this is a truly Amazing Spider-Man. He's just so much fun.
07.) Target Exclusive two-pack Storm. Again, I don't own her yet. But man, did Hasbro really deliver a great Storm figure. The lightning blast hands are a bummer, but I love the alternate head and cape that this figure has.
06.) Retro J. Jonah Jameson. Honestly, who expected to see Jolly Jonah get a Marvel Legends figure in 2020? I didn't expect to rank him so high, but when I got him in hand as a Christmas gift, I was truly impressed. I love the face sculpt and we really need more civilian figures like this.
05.) Retro Gwen Stacy. Having an alternate head of Mary Jane Watson is a nice touch, although having the Midtown High School textbook makes no sense continuity-wise since neither Gwen or Mary Jane met Peter till he was in college. Oh, well -- it's still a great civilian figure.
04.) Retro Electro. I know a lot of folks prefer the previous Marvel Legends figure of Electro, but I prefer this one. Electro is one of my Top 10 favorite Spider-Man villains and his classic suit with the "electrified starfish" mask look from the comics is my all-time favorite. Also, having alternate normal hands was very much appreciated. Now if only Marvel would resurrect Max Dillon in the Spider-Man comics...
03.) Retro Mysterio. He's one of the three Marvel Legends figures I got as a gift for Christmas and those brighter suit colors on this re-release really make this figure look better than the previous release, in my opinion. Now we just need a proper Quentin Beck alternate civilian head to put under the fishbowl.
02.) Retro Doctor Doom. Like Mysterio, I know a majority love the previous F.F. wave figure of Doctor Doom, but personally I prefer this version with the repainted suit colors. And having the collar to recreate first appearance Doctor Doom look is a nice bonus.
01.) Retro Rogue. I hate that she's currently impossible to find at Target and ridiculously high on Ebay, but I was lucky enough to get her as a Christmas present and she's easily my favorite Rogue figure to date. The Jim Lee X-Men suit for Rogue is my all-time favorite Rogue costume and the new repainted suit colors look so much better than the original release. I'm torn on whether to keep her in the box or take her out, as finding a second may be impossible for me.

Also, I cast my votes for my Top 10 Marvel Legends figures on The Fwoosh and this is my Top 10 list for Marvel Legends I hope Hasbro makes next:

- Dr. Robert Bruce Banner [classic lab coat]
- Captain America [John Byrne/scaly chainmail costume with smiling head]
- Cyclops [Jim Lee costume on Retro card with optic blast accessory]
- Doctor Octopus [John Romita Sr./green and orange costume on Retro card with bendable wire tentacles]
- Mary Jane Watson [first appearance]
- Ringmaster [classic/Maynard Tiboldt]
- Sabretooth [classic '70s/'80s costume]
- Sandman [classic costume on Retro card]
- Shocker [classic costume]
- Wasp [classic red-and-black costume]
- B.A.F. Armadillo

I know, we'll probably not see a Jim Lee Cyclops figure so soon after the Love Triangle version or a classic Mary Jane so soon after her alternate head for the Retro Gwen Stacy figure, but it never hurts to try, right? Also, I'd really love to see a new smiling Captain America figure since the current angry/constipated head sculpts don't appeal to me and having a classic Sandman on the Retro Spider-Man Toy Biz box art is too good to pass up, especially since he was forbidden to appear on the Fox Kids "Spider-Man" animated series. Also, I'm stunned we haven't gotten new classic figures for Wasp, Shocker and Sabretooth made yet from Hasbro.

I hope you all are having a great weekend and thanks for reading my nonsense. Stay safe, everyone.
