Palisades really set the bar. Those figures have almost past into legend. That era from around 1997-2005 was just an explosion of companies producing toys. It seemed the non-sport card and comic book collectors all moved to toys. But alas, like so many companies then, palisades flew to close to the sun.

These figures are not bad, but not wow either. Diamond seems to be all over the place, trying to fill a hole they themselves do not know if needs filling. The crow and jack sparrow figures for instance. I truly want an articulated crow. Neca and mcfarlane were leaps ahead in sculpt, but these figures have been missing for so long diamond filled a hole.....perhaps a hole that didn’t need filled? I want these muppets and crow etc....but the sculpts are so damn “soft”. I know it seems to be their style....but is it ours. Time will tell.
