I've had all my GIJoe Cobra Island items canceled by Target, they also canceled my entire order of Marvel Legends Into Spiderverse figures, there were many Star Wars Black Series figures canceled with no warning as well, and those are the recent ones. But I'll agree with you that Walmart's just as bad...if not worst.
